My name is Andrea Briceno, I am the face behind FRESHKERY. Baking away and ready to deliver delicious baked goods to your door.

I was born and raised in Venezuela. Like most children food was present in our lives since birth, it was only those mothers that would dare give it to us in our hands to experiment with, smell, touch, taste to understand the value & the beauty of it that made me fall in love with food.

Later on, in life, I attended a pastry Diploma at Le Cordon BleuMadrid, went to work in patisserie shops Dolç by Yann Duytsche in Barcelona, Spain, Mandarin Oriental Barcelona, Pennyhill Park Hotel in the UK. as well as Michelin star restaurants such as Sant Pau by Carme Ruscalleda in Catalunya and The Greenhouse in London.

After many years of working in pastry kitchens its time to gather all that knowledge and materialize my dream of making others happy with my baked goods.

FRESHKERY began during the first lockdown in 2020, when baking was a way to distract ourselves from the everyday uncertainty of things going on. It helped to calm our nerves and have something delicious to eat. My brother and I came back from London to stay at our parent's house and he felt curiosity in learning how to bake, this was the beginning of me realizing how much I enjoyed to share my passion with others.

After many cakes, cookies, and brownies the fridge was full and so was my family, and no cake should ever go to waste just for a pretty food blog post. I shipped my baked goods to friends and without knowing it, they were the ones to encourage me to start selling them. They loved it!!. The delivery conditions were approved by my friends and the products tasted great.

My research began on how to start my own baking business, many trials later, packaging designs, and more testers, I came up with the first product. A Sweet Gift Box containing cookies, brownies, and madeleines all eligible for UK Nationwide delivery. Offering a variety of baked goods in a dessert box and various flavours at the same time.

The main focus is to respect the flavours, always work with quality ingredients and stay true to pastry skills. There's nothing I enjoy most as a customer/pastry chef than a well made baked good and knowing the person behind it has truly put effort into it.

It's the simple things for me that make a good product, great!
